Hello Westbrook! Welcome to the Westbrook Family Blog. Each week, I send a video on Friday and a blog on Sunday. This particular blog design is work in progress as I have not quite figured out the settings yet. It might be fun to watch it change and improve.

We had a wonderful celebration on Thursday and a great day on Friday! This week brings more normalcy and we will work through some of the remaining kinks. One of the biggest things that could use a little refining is the drop off procedure. I have created a video to point out some important spots and hopefully clear up some confusion. I hope the video helps. Here are some important details and changes:

1) Breakfast will be available at 7:15am. This is 5 min earlier. The access door is outside the front gate and there are signs to help.

2) Big Change! All gates will open at 7:25am, also 5 min earlier. And we are opening the big access gate on Silver Spruce.

3) No parents or cars allowed in the bus loop area without a special placard in your car.

4) Please, please, please stay in your car and do not park in the drop off line.

5) Use the crosswalks when crossing the drop off lane.

6) Stay on the sidewalks when walking to school.

Thank you so much for your support keeping everyone safe and making drop off at smooth as possible.

Upcoming Events: Believe it or not, we have some big things happening this upcoming week!

First, this week is our PBIS Kick Off Week!

What is PBIS?
We taught the students our school expectations last week and will continue to work on them. This week, we will have a fun kick off including spirit days each day. See below for the schedule:

Book Fair 8/15-8/22: This week also brings our very first book fair! So exciting!! We would love your help increasing the number of books in our library and thought the book fair would be a great way to do that. Maybe your child can choose a book they would love to see in the library and you can donate it. Each donated book will have a special label sharing who donated the book and when. Wouldn't it be fun for kids to enjoy those books for years?

Have a wonderful week!
