Well, Hello March! I cannot believe March is upon us. The rest of the year is absolutely going to fly by. It is nuts! The kids have grown so much this year and made so many friends. It is going to be hard to part for summer, but I am not even going to think about that yet! There are too many things to do before we get there. 

Read Across America Week: This is going to be a fun week. It is 'Read Across America Week' at Westbrook. We have dress up days and fun activities planned for the week. See the picture above for our dress up days. It is going to be a lot of fun! 

Parenting Tips: One of the best things you can do for your child is to allow them to come up against a challenge and work through it. I know it may sound like I am repeating myself, but it is because we are seeing a trend in our students. Many of our students lack the coping skills to navigate through a tough situation. Of course, it is easier to avoid meltdowns and blow outs by preventing them for our children, but if we do not provide opportunities to overcome failure or challenges, they do not know how to handle them.

Move-A-Thon: It is coming... the 1st Annual Westbrook Move-A-Thon and it is going to be incredible!! At Westbrook, we don't know how to do things any other way. Of course, we need your help to make this as big as we dream. There is a PTC meeting on 2/23 at 6pm where we will start the planning. Add it to your calendar now! Also, use the QR code below to sign up to help! 




New Events Coming: At our PTC meeting on Friday, we discussed some new events coming our way! 
One is another Toy and Clothing Swap on March 15 from 4-7pm. We would love to have even more people take advantage of this opportunity! You can drop off donations from March 11-14 in the front office from 7:30am-3:30pm.

Next up is the Move-a-Thon fundraiser on April 12. This will be a really fun event and we would love your help! See below for how to sign up. 

Then, we are going to have a First Responders Day on May 16th. If you are a first responder and interested in participating let me know!

Happy Sunday, Families! In true Westbrook style, we are finishing the year with a bang! Our First Responders Day was absolutely amazing and there were so many of our parents participating! What a gift! I don't think I will surprise anyone when I say I think it will be even bigger next year!  This image is funny because A) we are almost at the end of the school year and B) I will be on you about parking lot procedures next year, too!! 😂 Field Day: Field Day is this Wednesday! It is going to be so fun. This is not an event where parents can come watch, but you can definitely come help!
