Happy Sunday! If you were at my initial Westbrook community meeting in January last year, you know teaching our students to be resilient is very important to me. My goal is that when our students leave Westbrook, they have the skills to overcome challenges and to bounce back after failure. On Friday, we recognized our second group of Resilient students and it was so fun to see their pride and excitement. We also recognized another group of resilient students and those were our student who achieved reclassification. When a student achieves reclassification it means is they have acquired sufficient English language fluency to perform successfully in core academic subjects. This is something these students should be very proud of because they have definitely persevered and overcome challenges to reach this milestone.
