We are off to a fabulous start at Westbrook, but in all honesty, the best is yet to come. We are just getting started. This week, officially kicks off some of our fun family events. We have Scoop Night at MoJoe's and then, Skate Night. Yay!! I cannot wait! Thank you to all of you for all of the work you have already put in and all of the work you are about to put in! 💕 Speaking of awesomeness!! Our PTC is awesome and they have a website with all of the dates you need and they also have things available to purchase. A lot of blood, sweat and tears has gone into this to help make things easier for you!! A HUGE thank you to our PTC for all of the incredible work they have put in.  Check out the site here: https://westbrook.ptboard.com/ As we welcome the fall and winter seasons, I want to re-emphasize the critical importance of maintaining good attendance. These upcoming months often bring various vacations and holiday celebrations, making it essential to plan ahead and ensure ...

This is something I say too often, but it is true!! I believe things are going so well at Westbrook because we are all working together. There were two big examples this week. The first was in response to a post I made about arrival time in the morning. We have been having a rush of cars arrive at 7:40ish each day and students should be in their seats by 7:40. The next day, almost all students were on time! It was amazing. Let's keep it up this week. The other example was our PTC meeting on Friday afternoon. Rarely do you see so many parents, and even neighbors, at a PTC meeting ready to support the students and school. I was not surprised, but still thrilled! We are going to do amazing things at Westbrook.  Speaking of arrival time, beginning tomorrow, the gates will be closing at 7:40am in the morning. Any students arriving after the gate closes, will need to go through the office. Thank you for your cooperation!  Skate Night: Our first skate night is Sept. 27th. Yay...

This was a great week. It started with the high school football players coming on Tuesday morning. They will be coming every other Tuesday and I know our kids will be excited. Soon, we will have a Westbrook night at a West Park football game. I will share those details when we have them ready! In addition to the football players, we had more book donations come in. The local Balance Family Chiropractic business donated a bunch of books and backpacks and Heritage Solaire donated over 100 brand new books to our library. I honestly do not have words to express our gratitude for the outpouring of support for Westbrook. All I know is that we are one fortunate school!! Enhancing Communication with the Google Translate Extension At Westbrook , we utilize Google Workspace for Education, an all-inclusive platform that provides a range of tools and applications designed to enhance the educational experience. To facilitate effective communication in multiple languages, we would like to offe...

Happy Sunday Families! We were so excited to recognize our Resilient students on Friday at our first assembly. We loved having some of you there! We will have an assembly each month and if your child earns the award, you will be invited to attend. Remember- it is a secret😁 We held our assembly in true Westbrook fashion as we did not let the crazy weather stop us! Whenever we come up against an obstacle, we look at each other and ask 'What if we can?' And then, we smile because we love it!  Crossing Guard Opportunities: I work very closely with the city to monitor traffic and intersections. The process takes a bit, but they do recognize our need and are being very generous. Especially with Westbrook connecting to Riego soon! In order to provide the safety we need at intersections, we need crossing guards to help. They are hard to find! If you are interested or know someone who may be, here is the application:  Crossing Guard Application Active4Me: Active4Me is a program to e...
